Just a quick note as I am in a hurry,
This machine is what clears and maintains the small ice rink on the river. River water is pumped into the drum on the back. The blade clears the snow, wire brushes take the ridges off the ice, and the water fills in the cracks. Creating very nice skating surface. More pictures of that later. |

Hey, wish this photo was larger...but you've captured it well. As a lifetime hockey player, I've seen enough zamboni's in my day. Of course none like this.
I love it! What a contraption, surprised it even moves let alone cleans the ice.
I think it would have been more effective showing more of the ice surface, perhaps having it as the background as opposed to the bank of the river. If you could have gotten a bit higher to take the photo.
But those are just suggestions, the point of the photo is the zamboni which you've photographed well.
