Photographer's Note

This is the Temple of the Universal Peace. Together with the Chengde Mountain Resort and seven other temples, it's considered a World Heritage Site.
Chengde was one of the most incredible places I found in China. The temples give the city a really nice atmosphere. I particularly liked this one and the Little Potala, that I've shown before. This one dates from 1755 and it has been built by the Emperor Qianlong, according to the Chinese and Tibetan styles. It's also known as the Big Budha Temple because on the right side there's a huge statue of Budha (around 22 metres high).
