Zhengding in Hebei province is a quiet town steeped in history. It's not far from Shijiazhuang and can also be visited from Beijing. Yet, this lovely city is defintely off the tourist track.
The town's main 'attraction' is this many-armed dafo (big buddha). This marvellous bronze statue stands in a wooden hall in Dabei Ge (the Pavillion of Great Mercy). The image was cast in AD 971 and is 21.3 meters high.
We very much appreciated the peacefulness and the serenity of the location and hope that this picture gets that feeling across.

Hi Benny!
Excellent composition and great preservation of colors and details. Wonderful shot!
Best Regards

Groeten,
Eddie
