Amazing how wind can shape the landscape: small waves, hundreds of meter high sand dunes and anything in between.
Seen close to Dunhuang, an important oasis town at the Silk Road. Here the Gobi desert meets the Taklamakan Desert, the two largest deserts in Asia.

what a wonderful composition. The light and shadow are fantastic along with the texture of the sand.The sky is just superb and provides a fine contrast with the sand. A superb image.
