Photographer’s Note
The Scene: Just after pulling up in a taxi to the Great Wall at Huang Hua, all the local vendors jumped into action. This guy was at my door before I had time to blink trying to sell me some postcards. So... like any good tourist, I took his picture. He was actually smiling most of the time he was trying to sell stuff to me. He was one of the happiest looking people I've ever seen.
I had to use my wide angle lens, as he was so in my face the whole time with his postcards!

Beautifully caught Mike. I would go as far as to say it's such a good human-interest pic that, with the background blurred out, it would have been superb in its own right. In fact it seems there are a couple of scenes in the background that would have made good photos in their own right. As it is, this is crisp, humourous and uplifting to look at.
