This is another photo of sellers, this time in Tongli, a small typical village not very far from Shanghai. Tongli is famous for its canals and traditional houses and there are usually many tourists. I've taken this photo on a cold day, in winter when there were not many around. But these women were there, enjoying the winter sun, talking a lot and waiting for the visitors, to sell them some waters, juices or souvenirs. The red decorations on the door were there because of the New Year's celebrations.

A very typical street scene, local residents setting up small table to sell things and try to make some little extra money. I have done that myself when I was younger living in Laos and thailand. I sell all the little stuff from candies to daily items, like soap and shampoo. Thanks for bring back memories from years ago, good and bad.

Ciao dear Ana,
I known with pleasure that during your trips you also like to observe the people. For a lot of people the tourists are the only way to work and to be able to eat every day. I have often seen the worry and the painted hope in their faces so that the tourists buy their goods, but always with the smile. This your beautiful photo represents very well this hope. Excellent work.

I like this street scene very much :) Every one in this photo looks so spontaneous! Very beautiful colours, among them the red colour is the centre of attention :)
Very good composition, many details to see :)

Another gem from your visit to China last winter. The composition, colors and resolution are all first rate, a product of a talented photographer with a very good camera. A few years ago I had a similar Fuji, and met an elderly Japanese couple who had been traveling on the same cruise ship. I was taking their photograph at the train station in Florence, when the man said, "Oh, my camera!" I looked at him puzzled— I thought I might have accidentally picked up his camera. But he meant, he made the cameras. He had founded the Fuji Corporation that makes the films and the cameras.

Bela tomada quotidiana, Ana. Me agradam bastante as expressões bastante diversas dos vendedores.

Ana, you have really captured the far eastern way I think. It is quite different than Korea but from my experience there this one is like a living snapshot, well seen and captured.

This is a beautifully coloured daily life shot, candidly capturing these women at their stalls. You chose a good angle to take this shot from, and made a good exposure. I think this picture shows an optimistic spirit, considering the humbleness of their offerings. Such a nice winter light in this one, too.
