Photographer's Note
Another shot from the very underrated West Wuzhen canal area. Most western tourists go to Suzhou or Zhouzhouang, but this spot is very popular with domestic Chinese tourists, especially after it was advertised locally in China, by a much loved Chinese actress, promoting the virtues of this scenic town.
There are 2 canal towns in Wuzhen, 'west' & 'east', separated by the main town of Wuzhen, which has only roads & a river. There is a trash rack where the canals enter the river, to stop garbage & water hyacinth floating into the canals of these picturesque water towns.

Hello Chris,
What a charming wooden boat. We don't see such boats in US. The whole thing is very scenic with the arched bridge connecting the two sides of the canal. I like the soft colors, architecture and management of light.

Good Morning Chris,
No-one should underestimate the recommendation of a celebrity!
I like this. We have close details of the everyday life of the occupants and the most interesting details of the architecture.
The clarity is lovely; it is well composed with regard to thirds whilst the navigator is strongly positioned in the frame.
This is the sort of shot that would be posted in National Geographic.
Have a lovely w/e,
Bev :-)

Bonjour,
assurément un endroit calme, cette Venise de l'Est.
J'aime le traditionnel qui comme ici, parvient à harmoniser les différents styles architecturaux, la pierre et le bois, l'air, la pierre et l'eau.
Bien jolies couleurs.
Kind regards.
Daniel.
