This shot is a little hard for me to look at becasue of the stroy behind it. I was walking down the street one day looking for this camera shop, i found the shop and went inside, when i came out this man was standing there. He is a homeless man, I told him that i would give him money if he let me take a picture, he said yes, and then when i went to go take the picture he had no left arm. I felt so bad. I was so embrassed, so i cut that part off and made sure that he knew that too. I feel bad about taking his picture, now everytime i look at this picture the memories floods right back into my mind. It tells me a long hard story of this mans life.
The title comes from the window in the background, just an ironic twist i guess. |

Jonathan, your note of course cannot and should not be ignored, but the fact is this is a POWERFUL photograph. Great, tight POV, unflinching focus on your guy, it's dignified regardless. I'm telling you: you did this man proud. Painfully ironic title. I commend this, everything about it, 100%. Best, Francis
Suberb photo, and excellent note. Can't really follow up Francis' note as it says it all! excellent!
