a Reader and the Baochu Pagoda Photo

Photographer’s Note

Swaddee Krub everybody,

3rd day in China for my trip to Shanghai and around.I departed Wuzhen in the morning to entered to Hangzhou in late morning.The tour operator had organized to visited west lake via shuttle boat,This shot i took when the boat came close to the shore near north side of the lake that located the Baochu Pagoda (simplified Chinese: 保俶塔; pinyin: bǎochùtǎ).In that time,I saw the man had reading in relax.When I'd matched it with the pagoda that clearly expressed a peaceful life around the West lake.

For post process,Firstly I duplicat 3 layer to split sky layer on BG and the pagoda layer from BG layer,Then use shadow/hight light on three layer to reduce light and open detail in shade. Secondly,I croped a little bit to composition then use curve to adjust contrast.Thirdly,I use color balance and hue/saturation tool to adjust the color for BG.Finally,I used smart sharpen, framing and resize to finish.

A beautiful capture in vertical format of the park. I really like to see that pagoda emerging out of the foliage. Nice subdued colors. The weeping willows add a nice touch to the photo. Best Regards. Latiff.

The composition of this photograph is very interesting.
I like the four levels which composes it: the edge of water and ground of the park, the first and the second line of trees and finally sky and pagoda.
This photograph gives a feeling peace and serenity.

Working with layers gives mostly a very good result, here it nice proof.
Verical frame suitable excellent to this splendid image, I really like to see that pagoda emerging out of the foliage, exactly a big mushroom
