The calm lake in winter, a photo from Zhejiang, East

Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in Hangzhou in China in winter 15 years ago. This lake(West Lake) is locatred at west in Hangzhou. The lake has the north and south 3.3 km, east and west 2.8 km, and a size of 15 km perimeters. Moreover, depth of water is about 1.8 m very shallow lake. There are many temple groups, a buddist tower group, a garden group and a willow trees, etc. in the circumference of a lake. The scene charmed the famous poet, the scholar, and the artist after the 9th century. The garden design was also affected in future generations over the numbers of century. I came here with the friend of the acquaintance who lives in Shanghai.

charmy the view of the lake with the foggy atmosphere to makes the image dreamily.I was there before five years and really the beauty of the place is unique.A photo that looks like more as a postcard.

Great framing and viewpoint to centralise the focus on main subject, the distance bridge. The softness does really work with a dreamy feel to it. Lovely vintage look
with excellent glimpse of foreground details and natural elements on both flanks of the lake. A dreamscape tranquail quality, well scanned and pp works. Well done
