| This is a shot that i took ona recent trip to Duqiao. This shot is not onl common in Duqiao but all parts of China. BEcasue of the engry crisis there is not enough engry for a dryer. the sun, the worlds natural dryer, completes the job for the Chinese. In this case they placed there sheets right although the street between two trees. |

Courious image Jonathan. some problems of light, the image is too much dark, but there is a good contrast.
about dryer...it is completely not used in the most part of Europe! in Italy, France, Spain, and i think also Germany, Swiss and Austria it's very hard to find one also in the shop to buy it!

Quite an interesting shot...I know about the hanging laundry...we also have this in Shanghai. It takes getting used to when you're walking down the street with people's knickers hanging over your head. I like the shot, but your cropping/framing could be improved. Also, don't know why, but all your shots have a very poor quality to them. Is it them camera or the setting you're using? Anyway, quite an interesting slice of Chinese life.
