[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
western wold has given up on umbrellas long time ago. In Asia they an, and re still widely used. It's funny how Americans and Europeans desire to have nice strong tan, and Asian girls try to have as white skin as possible (maybe it's due to the fact that caucasian type of beauty dominates modern world, even african and far east newspapers and tabloids are full of models of that type of beauty).

When it comes to sun and our health it is actuall the Asian attitute that's more healthy, but try to tell that to any teenager in US, they know better. In China, they cover as much as they can. In that horrid heat normal people are melting, cannot see anything wihout sunglasses, and the sweat drips all over. And then u have those girls - wearing jeans, or long pents, long sleave, their face totally covered + holding the obligatory umbrella - what a sacrifice to have young, smooth, white skin
