Photographer’s Note
Here is another shot from my Shanghai trip. I was standing in the Yuyuan or the Yu gardens. The yu gardens is full of tradtional chinese architecture. The tower in the background is the Jin Mao tower it is the tallest in Shanghai and reaches upto i beleive, correct me if im wrong, 88 floors.

Hi Jonathan,
A lovely composition. Excellent placement of your subjects in the frame. Love the way the roof dominates the frame with the skyscraper in the background with the mist. And you are correct on the number of floors (and a bit off the mark...:)...the total count is 93 but 89-93 are mechanical floors). I did a search on Jin Mao and came up with this wonderful page. Check it out.
And you did a cool job. One of my favourites.

Not only a nice contrast of different eras, but also different colors -- the warm red wood of the past versus the cold blue steel of the present, capped off with splashes of eternal green. Good job!
