Photographer’s Note

Zhujiajiao is one of the many watertowns surrounding Shanghai. As most of them are full of tourists coming to take shapshots like this, I wouldn't usually bother to go there.
Still, as Shanghai's Antidote-party crew were throwing an electronic music festival there, I went. During day-time, there was, as expected, a lot of tourists and everything was a little circus-like, as it is in most Chinese touristic places. However, as night fell and I left the party to have a look around, all the tourists had left and the city was tranquil and beautiful (perhaps the atmosphere was enhanced a bit by the beers I had drunken at the party).
This is a typical scene from the village. I wouldn't recommend people staying for long in these water-towns, but its good for a day- or evening trip.
