Photographer's Note
It was a very misty morning and the beautiful City of Shanghai was covered in the cold grey misty cloud.. I had tried to photograph the building opposite PuDong - (West City) but even with a high ISO they were not giving much away-- so I thought I would focus on the people of the day.. These two young ladies prooved great fun..and embraced having their photos taken.. I think its a national tradition..
The area is The Bund.. down town and very up Market Shanghai- It has a very long history.. but is also known as the modern and most progressive City within China.. Tea house, Old traditional "Old Town" and the modern skyscrapers are all part of the wonderful City..

Hi Rich
TE world is crazy, 112 views and no comment. I like the contrast of the smiling young girls in a queer situation amongst the foggy skycrappers on the other bank of the Bund. color against pale grey.
Cheers

Hi Richard,
Since Claude thinks we're all crazy, I thought I'd best write my tuppenceworth here!
This is a very fine picture. At first I thought that you had selectively desaturated the background, but I don't think you have. And that's because the two girls stand out so well and so colourfully against a very plain and misty background. Your composition is good, the tall lamppost on the right balancing the picture nicely and there's excellent detail and sharpness throughout.
Super!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Rich
good idea to forget about the views as the primary target and focus in on the people - you adjusted well.
and anyways, sometimes having this atmosphere is nice, a change from the ordinary.
it gives off a unique life and quality.
cheers
