I was about to greet them when I realised they were not real. A scene from the wax museum on the ground floor of the Pearl Tower in Pudong, Shanghai. Numerous depictions of life from Shanghai's "Colonial" past and from before the Opium Wars give insight into its remarkable historical interaction with the West.
