Photographer’s Note
More views from the 76th floor Grand Hyatt Shanghai which is currently the second highest hotel in Shanghai and the third highest in the world...I think.

Pekka,
Amazing "sci-fi archive" view - only it isn't ficition, as you describe, it's a real temporary archive for people!!
I have to wonder at the designers of such buildings, clearly imitating fantasy visions of the future - and visions which are usually created to illustrate the impersonality of society.
Ramblings aside - it's a cracking photo!!
Regards
Colin

This is a beautiful shot. I like the curves and repetition in this work. Thanks for sharing.

Hello! I've seen a picture like this one in a museum. That picture was something like 1 meter by 2 meters large (think about a museum). I have to say, I like you're treatment of light better than the one in the museum. This seems like something out of a science fiction film. Really well done!
Sincerely,
Kate

hi Pekka,
excellent perspective! I think I would feel a bit claustrophobic in this hotel, but your image gives an exact impression of the size and the atmosphere of this building.

Hello Pekka
Really impressive graphical shot ! Difficult to imagine that is a hotel... It's certainly impersonal, suffocating, and vertiginous but for photography, it's a great subject for sure ;o)
Your effective framing plays with the perspective in an excellent way.
A sharp picture, with a striking quality revealing many details and a light perfectly handled.
Compliments, I really like your composition and would have succeeded something like that.

Hello Pekka,
This photo is technically excellent, especially in the management of light, graphically arresting and thoroughly scary. I echo Colin's musings. I find it significant that only one human figure was visible when you took the shot! Terrific work.
Regards,
Mary
