| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
In the Confucius Forest, just ouside of Qufu town, stone guardians like these guard the graves of the Kong family. The oldest grave is that of the grand old master himself. As Confucius died in 479 BC, I suppose this must also be the oldest family tree in the world.
On a recent trip in China I fell in love with the quiet, respectful atmosphere in this place. This picture is my personal favourite from a whole series I shot there.
I cropped the picture to emphasize how the old statues blend in with the trees of the forest and, for this repost, I added the frame to bring out the panoramic feel of this picture. |

A nice picture, I like the view of the nature from the ground. It gives a bigger dimension.
Nice shot,
Jean-Claude
Howdy Benny!
Original place. Nice lightness and sharpness. Original capture.
TFS!

Hi Benny,
The rendering of the place and what it relates to is just great. I understand this is one of your favourites !
Benny - It mystifies me why there have been no comments posted with respect to this photo. I personally like the panoramic perspective, and the composition within.
