A gray day on the longest & oldest canal in the world, even this photo can not show how busy it was, a wonderful experience &, one I would recommend.

HI Wilson,

Your tonality gives it a really urban, industrial, hard working feel to me .. even with the water .. and I think your tones make the grain in the sky work with the image really well.

take care,

John

Hello Wilson,
A nice daily life shot in China, the black and white is a good choice here in this grey day, well seen.

Hello Wilson,
A good pov and a nice composition with the help of these boats all going in the direction of the bridge. The nearly panoramic format used enhances this impression. I just think you should remove the spot on the upper right corner (must be a dust on the sensor).
Have a nice weekend.
Regards, Christian

Hello Wilson
Un bon travail de "tissage" sur le pont ;0)) et une fleuve bien encombré.
Ce noir et blanc donne une ambiance un peu triste mais j'aime bien le choix du format panoramique.
Amicalement
Hervé

very grey day here but the shot is nice and good framing too

Wilson,
In a gray day, BW is always a great choice !
I like the mood you created here, nice and somewhat timeless.

Hi Wilson, great perspective and perfect choice of black and white,i like a lot this pic, thanks for share,Luciano

Grey weather doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad day for photography. Opting to shoot in black and white, as you’ve done here, certainly emphasizes the mood. Love the grainy sky.

Good idea to do a b/w conversion for a picture captured at a grey day. I think you got a good contrast.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hello Wilson,
Interesting mood you have conveyed with this B&W image. I like the composition with the three ships sailing away from the camera. You did well with the crop and added grain (it's not sensor noise, is it?). There seem to be several large dust spots, I'm surprised they show at f/8. Regards,
Hakan

Hi Wilson,
The b&w treament give this landscape a timeless feel. The details are very clear with excellent sharpness to this somber image. This photo testifies to the rapid insutrialiation of China.
Regards, Tom

Hello Wilson,
Oh, how gray this photo is!!! Terrible! :)))
How busy this canal is! You can see the same types of ships on the Danube as well, but the third of this amount in an hour!
I like the POV, the sharpness and the grainy effect.
TFS!
Best wishes,
Marci

Hello Wilson,
nice B/W format of this gray day in Jiangsu. The barges create a depth of field in your scene.I cannot understand the noisy sky with these exposure data.

Bonjour Wilson,
des lumières particulières et une vue qui s'écrase , astucieux pour augmenter cette impression de densité de trafic.
C'est bien cadré.

Hi Wilson,
an interesting view and place, good POV. Pity that weather was not friendly. Good title, a gray day.
Gr., Aleksander

Hi Wilson,
B&W medium and the intended noise really captured the carbon emission level of the place :) Very good dynamics created by the boats ... certainly a busy canal. Good tones and contrast. Well compose! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Hi Wilson, great B&W composition with splendid bridge and lovely boats, romantic atmosphere, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello WILSON,

We don't have allways sunny days with perfect weather. The idea to choose the b+w technique here is very good.I like your composition of the picture and the pov.

With regards from Luxembourg

Hello Wilson,
The longest and the oldest channel in the world? and with an important width. In China, nothing can astonish. The activity seems to be very strong. Excellent choice of color , in gray weather. Cheer.
Good Evening
Cordially
Joel

Hi Wilson

Hi Wilson,
nice b&W working. I like grey tone and active view. greetings from Istanbul.

Hello Wilson.
I quite like the grainy, low-contrast look of this one, giving it a timeless or nostalgic feel. I like the view from behind the boats which have this pleasing slightly converging path, it seems, adding to the perspective effect. Is that a bit of sensor dirt in the upper right corner? Overall, a well composed shot with a certain busy industrial atmosphere about it.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Wilson,

Indeed that circulates on this river. A particular treatment which emphasizes well this gray environment. The format is judicious and gives an appreciable depth to the image. A good and interesting glance, thank you for sharing Wilson.

With all my friendships and a very good WE,

Jean-Charles

Another interesting view of your heavily ladden barges, and the bridge make a nice addition, but I am not so keen on this monochromatic grey.

All the best,

Emmanuel

Excellent silhouettes, slightly foggy horizon and grey tones...

TFS,
Andreea

Hi Wilson,
excellent picture with those boats deep in the water and the broad river. The lines give an extra dimension.

Hi Wilson,

The canal and bridge are impressive. The black and white is increasing the gray of the day. The point of view is giving depth to the photo and showing the water movement of the canal and the quantity of boats. Have a nice day.

Hi Wilson,

An excellent shot with amazing light I guess that the sun is high sky and that it is taken in a slight backlight. I really like the B & W. It is a good choice here, but I would not be surprised if the colour version is very nice as well. TFS!

Cheers,

Ulf

Hi Wilson,
In spite of the gloomy weather, it is business as usual for the hard working boatmen. I wonder if the industrious Chinese take much time out for R&R. As usual, your composition is sublime and you did a good job of B&W conversion (color would not have worked very effectively). I feel lazy looking at all of the hard working Chinese. Good work!
Stan
