Lixi Park Sunset, a photo from Jiangsu, East

Photographer's Note

Sunset at Lixi Park, also known as Liangxi River Park. The island in the lake is probably habitat for migratory swans, geese & ducks. There is a trash rack to stop oil & floating garbage from entering this secluded offshoot of the main canal at left, out of frame. The white thing on the island is an ornamental rock, (usually partly dissolved limestone), which the Chinese are very fond of. eg:

I was hoping to get a shot of the sun setting on the horizon, but it was not to be with only buildings as a horizon line at this park.

Bonjour Chris
Le coucher de soleil donne au ciel une teinte rosée que l'on voit mieux dans les reflets. Une juxtaposition intéressante entre les immeubles modernes et les constructions ancestrales.

beautiful light of sunset, a great framing and nice reflections, the geometric aspect and gray colors of these buildings contrasts sharply with the rest of the image and creates an atmosphere a little surreal...nice shot...

Bonjour Chris,

Ce sont les couleurs qui attirent vers cette image.Les teintes rosées apportées par la pollution atmosphérique sont belles mais portent à la réflexion.

Hi Chris,

The scene is impressive. The reflections on the water of the rivers are assets to the composition. The wideness of the river is giving depth to the picture. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the highrise building. The sunset light is giving nice colors to the water. Have a nice day.

A really well composed shot, signalling the warm colours the attend sunset, particularly in the water.
