Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken from the balcony of a restaurant over looking a river flowing though the city of Nanjing. The photo is of a lighted sculpture accompanying setting that was positioned along the bank of the river. The reddish color below the sculpture is of its reflection in the water.

I titled the photograph after the first known Chinese opera troupe called, "Pear Garden". Emperor Xuanzong founded the troupe during the Tang Dynasty.
