Photographer’s Note
This was a mountain village market near a town called Xingcun in WuYiShan. This village probably does not exist anymore. It was scheduled for evacuation since the area was declared a nature reserve because of the famous Nine Twists River nearby. There was a lot of vegetables on sale as well as lots of fresh fish, pork and cured dog meat. This lady was selling some kind of snails.
