Very lovely composition, full of "human feelings", I love that :) The contrast between the old man dressed in dark with his wrinkles, and the smooth face of the baby wraped up in his colourful cloth is wonderful.
The quality is absolutly awesome for a scan !

You can´t help wondering what this baby is doing today. It would certainly be very interesting if he or she is looking at TE today, recognizing the grandfather. You could then write a story!

hej Gert,
it's quite amazing, you talk about the day or actually the light conditions as dull and grey, and that was my impression of the most of china the most of the Time I spent there ( all together 4 month on two different trips)
that was especially in the north part, I dont know if it's an effect of air pollution or if it is the grey dusty environment with the great Gobi in the north that makes the sky kind of hazy.
this noble chines though look very proud over the next generation-

Hi Gert, this is a great photo with fine detail in the wickerwork baskets, the blanket and other items. He really does have a proud expression. Also good colour in the blanket specifically, and its contrast with the darker clothing of the man and the background. Good work! Regards,
