Photographer’s Note
A new roadway is being built through the mountains just outside Chengdu which will be a modern and fast highway through steep mountains and across gorges. Large parts of the new road are on the top of very tall concrete pillars such as these being constructed. It will trim hours of dangerous bends and steep hills. It heads towards the western part of China towards Tibet. Once completed this will allow much easier access to this huge region. WS has alternative view.

Hi Murray: The Chinese are Ingenious people in order to get the BIG country with so many people connected. This and the WS has shown a clever way of doing it even thought the cost would be very high cutting through the gorges and mountains. Tibet will be a new revenue to be explored. TFS and best regards. Hi Murray,
Very much a TE shot. Quite incredible the way the Chinese get the job done, they are an industrious people. I remember one of Chairman Mao's quotes, "if we the Chinese people can build the great wall, then we can do anything".
Good composition, your shot tells the story perfectly.

Hi Murray,
The diagonal line of the bridge is an asset to the composition. The point of view takes my eyes through the arch towrd the pillars and cranes which is giving depth to the photo. The trees and the dirt road are framing well the river. Have a nice day.
Pierre
