Photographer's Note

This was the shot in Tagong 'cowboy' town looking for suitable subjects and stumbled across this scene, group of Khampa women browsing the stall. And one thing came to mind; colors me blind !! and here's what I call 'bold' passionate warmth of colour and their priceless expressions.

For Khampas women red seems to be the dominant colour, perfectly contrasting with their thick black hair, rosy cheeks, ornamentation and jewelry. For very practical reasons, are an essential part of their lives and culture.
