Photographer's Note

At the end of the bus ride in Jiuzhaigou Park, you will arrive at Long Lake (approximatly 3,100 meters) It is the most splendid lake in Valley. It is opposite Erbo Mountain, which is covered with luxuriant forests, and the Biyaogonggai Lake, which is the highest lake in Jiuzhaigou (elevation over 4,000 meters). The melted snow from the South Peak and the waters of surrounding mountain streams and brooks all find their way into the lake, which has no exit. The excess water either vaporizes or seeps into the earth. In spring and autumn Long Lake is even more fantastic; with the reflection in the water of the flowers clustering around the ice-covered peaks, and the spectacular panorama of yellow leaves and red maples growing round the lake. Unfortunately, it was a bit windy there is no reflection but the fall colors is nice enough with misty drizzly rian.
Another spectacle is that the water neither brims over the bank in the rainy summer and autumn, nor runs dry in the winter and spring, even when there is a long dry spell. Local Tibetan people praise it as "a precious gourd that will never be poured full or dried up." At the time of bitter winters, the lake is frozen over with a depth of 60 centimeters

well, let me be the first to congratulate you on this wonderful mother nature scene.
looking at it, its hard to believe this isn't a painting!
its amazing how the water intersects all the autumn colors, splits it right down the middle.
my favorite part is how you used the trees as an anchor along the bottom.

I love the vivid colors. The lake itself has an amazing unique color. It is beautiful framed with the colorful vegetation. The slight fog hanging in the middle of the mountain adds an interesting touch. Very atmospheric capture.

Nature was very generous with showing all its finest colours here. The view is breathtaking and the blue water, partly close to turquoise, is very elegantly surrounded by mainly red, green and yellow. The exposure and sharpness are as perfect as always.

Wonderful balance here between the exploding color of the lower part of the frame and the muted misty upper third, Way. Really unique mist too, hovering as it is off the ground, giving you a clear and unobstructed look at the blue water and the surrounding foliage. Pin sharp as far as the eye can see here, and a really peaceful scene. As always, wonderful work!

Sabaidie again Way
The tinge of autumn colours in the FG are quite delicious. We miss this spectacle in india, as our country is mainly evergreen vegetation. What I also like is the hint of late sunlight on the far end of the hill. The blue of the lake cuts across all the warm colour tones...beautiful indeed!

This is the moment when JZG shows off its autumn splendour with burst of stunning contrasting colors. I can't think that I've seen anything of its' kind that betters it, it's perfect and I'd hang that on my wall with great pride and I think you could not ask for anything better. You have captured the scene so beautifully when nature lavishes its best on you. We just need to get out of our comfort zone and surrender to god's creation. Very well done Way,

Hello Way,
I've visited Jiuzhaigou in summertime. So then no autumn colours of the leaves like on this picture. But I do remember the water in the lakes had such wonderful colours.
Here the contrast between the red leaves and the blue water is extraordinary. What a wonderful combination.
At the other side of the lake splendid yellow tones alternate with green ones.
Excellent capture of the fog hanging near the mountain slopes.
This really is a magnificent view.

Hi Way. maybe this was the lake which a group of Chinese tourists were telling me about when I met them at Plitvice lakes in Croatia. They were not that impressed by the park and kept saying that there is much more grandeur and beauty in a particular Chinese park. This must be it! Wonderful, magical, uplifting and that's just your photo. The place must be even more incredible when one walks around and absorbs the atmosphere and the silence. Regards. Klaudio.
