Soxung Lamasery (a yellow-hat one with more than 700 lamas) facing the 1st Bend of Yellow River, a nourishing mother who has the Chinese people breast-fed at the first place and been highly sung of by literates all through the Chinese history for the brilliant civilization she brought up.
Everytime I see this pic, it reminds me of a warm-hearted lama Longrijiacuo (龙日加措 in Chinese), he accomodated me, a "homeless" stranger, for one night, we ate hand-made Zanba, fried yak meat, yak butter tea, also got wonderful talks with his friends and learnt some tibetan......so great that I could not imagine this could happen in big cities, and really hope he is doing well now. |

Hi draco, thank you for sharing with us this wonderful scene and the cozy little story of your journey. It's a great pity that I missed the view that day. We hurried all the way from Langmusi via Flower Lake to this "first bend", racing with the setting sun, but when we got there, it was already dark. Thank you for making this up for me!:) It is a beautiful picture and a nice note!
The foreground is a bit dark but the overall view is splendid. It inspires a strong feeling of vastness.
It seems so peaceful place.
The light, the colors, the detail every ware, composes a relaxing and a pleasure for the eyes photo!
