Photographer’s Note
A high spot for big Bouddhas closed to Datong (North west of China). Very interesting place which is not to miss if you are around.
However, quite difficult to take pictures: no space to have nice perspective and it is very very dark inside.
Here: Iso 800 + monopode + Liveview in raw then Lighroom developpement.
Ici on peut voir plein de grands Bouddhas, quelquefois tres bien conserves, d'autres fois en ruine. Ensemble toutefois harmonieux et grandiose.
Il est parfois difficile de prendre de bonnes photos car ils se trouvent dans des petites grottes peu eclairees et comme on ne peut pas avoir de recul ce n'est pas ideal.

Ah...this is probably my favourite Buddha statue and quite a good shot, too. I have a different view of the statue in my gallery (less centered), one of my very first uploads actually. I think both pov's work. Your shot has the blue at the bottom part of the statue, which my image lacks. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the blue line in the frame, that's a bit too bright for my taste.
