I think this picture forms a nice contrast to the old woman in my previous upload, although they do have one thing in common: a smile for a stranger.

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what it is about this picture I like. The depth of field, the colours, the posture, the little bit of corn stuck to her arm???

They all add up to make a really good picture!

This little girl is adorable and you captured an excellent portrait of her. Your low profile, by being low to the ground, is interesting because Jaap Polak (Carper) just wtote an excellent dialogue with his recent posting about composition and how important it is to get down to the child's level to get better portraits, as you did. This is a beautiful and charming photograph of this little girl. Well done!
