Photographer’s Note

A museum at the Terra Cotta Warriors Archeological site presents a number of warriors excavated from the ruins and reassembled. This is a composite of three photos. The life-sized figures are displayed inside glass cases harshly lit with fluorescent light. Not great for photos.

The figures are constructed in 3 segments: the lower portion - legs up to hips, are solid. The torso is hollow, and the head fits into the torso. It is believed the heads were portraits of real soldiers and military leaders of the day.
