Interesting perspective. I guess the cave was not that wide and when having to catch a 17m giant from within you had to play with some serious constraints. Colours are very interesting. Looks like these staues are in a very good shape and the wall painting as well. Must be a very intresting place to visit.

I love the textures here, Stephane... The POV give us a clear perspective of the scale of the statue, so congratulations for it. The indigo color in the head is very nice. Take care.

Hi Stephane
I like the POV here, it makes this statue seem very tall.

salut stef

Bien cordialement,
Emmanuel

Hi Stephane,
Your images from china are very interesting.A friend of mine is travelling there next week for a month....i envy him. You've chosen a very interesting perspective in this one.You have emphasised the fact he is a "giant" and have made him almost "threatening".Good earthy colour...true and natural.Well done.
Regards, David

Hi Stephane
Very good result given the difficult details. These caves can be very dark and difficult to work in but the colours and general lighting has worked well. A dramatic perspective and one that gives good impact.
Aubrey
If the light is anything like the Pak Ou Caves in Laos I admire how you have managed to take this photo at all. You have been able to show plenty of detail in the Buddha as well as in the wall behind. I like the low POV looking up, although at 17m tall you probably had little choice. Good work

Bonsoir stéphane,
Impressionnat ton buddha!.
Amicalement
JMarc

I love it when people are daring and take photos of ancient structures and paintings! These temples, shrines, and monuments are often poorly lit and people get to iffy to take photos of the incredible ancient Chinese ruins and sculptures. Wonderful POV and great capture of the paint colors. Beautiful!
