I also think that your shot makes monks more human. The colours are very nice, and the light on the clothes is very well taken.

So simple, but so nice and well-seen. Beautiful how the colorful pieces of cloth absorb and filter the sunlight. Also a good use of the DOF resulting in the brick wall turning into a very subtle background pattern. Good photo, Simon.

The light glowing through the fabrics make a very nice touch. Simple and down to earth. I agree with what you said about it being a humanizing element. Nicely seen.

Light is excellent and strong element here and it bring the colors fine that you controlled and captured skilfully.

Great colours and I like the effect of the clothing lit from behind. The main subject stands out well from the dark and unfocused background. The line does a good job of linking the key elements of the picture together.

Hello Simon,

Very simple and very striking picture: I enjoy the way you took it against the light, I am sure many of us would miss to see the subject. If I had done it I woould certainly use it in say a slide show for instance.
