Photographer’s Note
Streets are full of noisy chinese people 'west dressed' and 'high tech' familiar.
Therefore I it uneasy to isolate what captured my interest: a old member of the party, national worker.

A very nice snapshot of everyday's life in a crowded chinese street.

Interesting contrast between this man of the past and the normal chinese street scene of today. The crop and cadrage are a bit abrupt, but I guess you did not have enough time to balance the composition.
cheers,

A snapshot, but one that really means something!
The 'authentic' local feels out of place in his own city, crowded with tourists.
Your picture captures this feeling in two ways:
(1) the man with the bike seems isolated from the others, and
(2) your 'shooting him in the back' betrays your sense of unease.
An interesting picture to really have a close look at. Possible prize questions:
- how many people in the shot actually live there? (my guess: 5)
- how many people in the shot are not involved in tourism? (my guess: 1)
All the best.
Benny
