Photographer's Note

Here's another shot of the old Muslim Quarter, in Xian, surely one of the places that attracted me most in the city. Situated within the walls, this is surely a place where you can stay for hours and leave with the feeling you have seen just a small part of it. It has just a small problem, there are usually too many people around, it has too much life and so it's not so easy to take photos.I took this one in a very busy street where it's possible to find many different kinds of ethnic food. This man was one of my favourite sellers, he was was selling something made with rice, seemed to me like a cake. Seemed it is very popular there because he was selling a lot. What really caught my eye was he way he was cutting it in slices.I would prefer it without that moto behind but there was no way to exclude it.
