This is a great shot Cliff. I like the angle you chose and the play of shadows is really effective. Did you consider cropping just slightly on the right? I can't decide myself. see my workshop

It's always difficult to know how to crop a shot like this, but both versions look good to me. Actually I would be more focused on how to crop the right hand side, because I never like seeing 'half bodies' in a composition, but sometimes that is impossible to avoid. I like the contrast and shadows. I haven't been to see the terracotta warriors yet (on my 'bluelist') so I was surprised to see this being posted to TE because I thought photography was prohibited inside the pits, or have they relaxed the rules now? Wonderfull photo of a scene that I photographed as well this summer.
The direct sunlight on the statues of the warriors gives it a dramatic look!
