Photographer’s Note
The Yangtze River boats are now back in season. They stop during the mid summer months as the river becomes a place of humidity and heat. Most of the five furnaces of China (cities of highest heat during the summer) are along the Yangtze (we port at Chongqing and Wuhan tow of them). Most boats are like this one. Often 4-5 decks with cabins on all, except the sun or top deck. They usually serve good food often buffet style. Some rooms have balconies. The beds, as with most places in China are “rock” hard. Most trips take 4-5 days. The best voyages, like in this photo, go through the three gorges area. This region is blessed with natural beauty, high cliffs, and a man made musty smog. After the distance bridge is past, we leave this area. It is a must for China travelers who have the time to seek other sights and enjoys a peaceful few days afloat boats like this one.
All the water levels within the three gorges will continue to rise as the last portion of the great three gorges dam is in place. Some of the beauty of these gorges will have been lost. The overall feeling of wall height and narrowness of the river will also be lost.

Hello David. The framing of this big boat is excellent with the tall mountains at the back. The arch bridge in red is unique in the background. I like it and well done. Jusni
