Photographer’s Note
This is the eastern gate of the old city of Luoyang.
Luoyang is not far from the Yellow River (Huang he).
It is the city of peonies and every year when the the peonies bloom they have a festival. Luoyang is the place from where you start a trip to the famous buddhistic Longmen grottoes.

Interesting composition... Very crowdy picture. I like the moment of daily life you managed to capture. Probably if the gate wasn't in the centre, the picture would gain even more grip. But well done!

Unusual scene for western eyes.
The angle could be more original, and you could have taken the shot at a time when the light was a little less intense. I find the light in the shot is too strong, removing (for me) the most interesting details around the edges.
I was actually right at that spot there last year. Unfortunately, this area is simply a rebuilt-street for tourists. If you translate the yellow + red sign, it says "Welcome to tourists from China and abroad ..."

If you had taken the shoot five seconds later the bicycle appear first, the guys behind and the picture would be more interesting.

Very nice "centred" composition.
That's very "living".
I expect to see the people...move!
Nice job!
