Photographer’s Note
It's been about a year and a half since I joined TrekEarth, so I thought it time to revisit my very first post, as there are a few things differently I would do differently now.
I discovered TE because I wanted to learn about the world and found myself learning about photography.
With my thanks to all who shared their ideas, comments and creativity. I hope you like my new version.

Kaifeng (simplified Chinese: 开封; traditional Chinese: 開封) is a prefecture-level city in eastern Henan province. It is one of the Seven Ancient Capitals of China and reached its peak of importance in the 11th century during the Song dynasty, when it is believed to have been the largest city in the world.
Within the ancient walls, old Kaifeng is a wonderful place to soak up history and atmosphere. In fact, we found this rather off-beat place one of the highlights of our 2007 China trip.
This picture was taken outside one of the main temples in the old city center.

Hi Benny. I think the final version is definitely an improvement from the original - and a great picture! Its so rich in colours and light and the movement of the girl on the right makes it very dynamic. I also like the new framing.
Haven't talked to anybody mentioning Kaifeng - sounds like a great place to go (for that reason!!) :-)
Regards,
Henrik.

hahah nice title..i think i like the photo beacuse of the title...not the other way round...for a change !
Think thats just previsualization at its best..thats what doing street-stuff is all about..you anticipate and interpret well and you will get good shots..
i like the concept..well done Benny

Hi, Benny.
Great situation but I think it could be better exployed.
The moment...one, too seconds before or later, their expressions could be change and could be more intereresting. But it is rather pleasent work :).
Best regards. Grazyna.

Hello Benny
The final version is certainly much better than the original one in terms of the colors and the dimensions. The journey is amazing isnt it?
I guess a selective mask could have helped you control the slightly overexposed dress of the girl on the right. I struggle with my D40 when it does that.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Benny,
The contrast between the dresses of the litlte girls and the red wall is great. Together with the action is makes for a very fine candid! And nice to compare both takes - TE is indeed a great learning environment.
En gefeliciteerd met je 1,5 jaarse verjaardag op TE!
Fijn weekend,
Bert

Hello my dear Benny
Great photo! The innocent and unconscious two ladies and very thick red wall. Very very attractive photo. The left leg of the right girl is very natural and motion-able.
Congratulation on your great job !
Thanks for sharing and best regards

Dag benny, the red temple walls always make a good background and you have used it here to your advantage with these two small girls. Glad that you are enjoying yourself here on TE and learning!

Charming shot Benny, with great use of colour.
It would have been even better with a bit more space at the top - I find the girl's head on the right a bit crammed against the top of the frame.
Other than that though, I think this is excellent. Nice playful interaction between the two girls.
Cheers,
Ben

hello Benny,
this has so much charm. Your updated version is full of light and vibrant colour. A nicely balanced composition but best of all I love the surprise of it. Such pretty, western style dresses showing that little girls like to be little princesses the world over.
best regards,
Bev

Hi Benny,
The colours of this shoot is charming. I like the locations of children in frame. If one of them could have looked us that would be great.
