Photographer’s Note
Down by the Wuyang River in Zhenyuan. Founded as a Ming outpost guarding the trade routes into central China, Zhenyuan has a fine collection of temples and pavilions and is set amidst dramatic moutain scenery. A beautiful place to stay for a few days.

perfectly composed Chris, with the wall leading into the frame towards the man with his bicycle. Very nice!

Excellent composition, Chris, but I agree with wawa about the dof. The bridge and the building in the distance are too good to be left out of focus.
For some reason I heard a lot abut Zhenyuan the last couple of weeks. We might have to reconsider our travel schedule for next summer...and then again the world is endless really.

Hi Chris,
Nice shot, I was here myself about a month before you looking at the date taken. I wasn't blessed with such great weather as this though. I have to agree with the others, the camera must have autofocused on the foreground and at f/5 there's not nearly enough depth of field. You've just reminded me actually, I have a photo of this pavilion at night which I'll post later!
all the best
Lee
