Hi, wilson. Good portrait of that boatman. You've placed him in a good position opening the view onto the second boat and on the high cliffs on both sides of the river. His hat is certainly one of the 'highlights' of the picture.

Sorry to read about your frame woes, Wilson. I personally prefer viewing pictures without them. This is a fine capture from a low pov. Orange is a bit too strong for my taste, esp. the color cast on the man's face. Composition is very good. Regards,

Yeah, i know other members whose photos have been removed due to "unacceptable framing" policy. But thay forget how much the content is suitable for TE motto.

I remember very well the first post, but not the frame, so I am sure I didn't find it excessive. He looks like a sympathetic fellow. The orange of his clothes and of the flag of the other ship makes a nice contrast with the surrounding green of the hills and water. The compo is very achieved, combining harmoniously his pose with the ravine on the BG and both boats. The DOF is perfect, with the bokeh behind and the other boat on the limit of total blur.
