Photographer’s Note
These men have a tough job. Everyday it is their task to lift, carry, pull, and drag. The location is Chongqing, China. The city has many hills. Transport has thus been, not by wheel or machine, but by human power. These are the stickmen of Chongqing and they are still active today. Some are being replaced by more modern techniques and perhaps in time they will dissappear altogether ... but as seen here they are still active and perhaps the best of means to complete some tasks.
Note a Westerner looks on ... thoughts must be interesting as this team passes him by.
