Good idea to use selective desaturation here. It really makes the flag stand out and the blue of the jacket provides a nice counterbalance with both objects standing at opposite ends thereby creating a nice even composition. I might have tried to correct that slight tilt though.

A very good addition to your little series on this river. The little boat that is chasing yours is very well framed by the cliffs, the woman and the flag. Beautiful light, the partial desaturation is very well done and is much appropriate to the subject. That red flag is a great eye catcher.

Interesting composition with the Chinese flag and the lady both of them in colours and the background desaturated. The lack of the sky makes the photo a bit mysterious.. The motorboat is just bonus here!

The gigantism of the throats is underlined by the presence of this proud flag. Framing is balanced perfectly, by the human presence. A very beautiful work, impressive.

Hello Wilson.
Great colours in the flag and the denim jacket for the framing objects, the speed boat seeming to be chasing after your vessel right between them at speed. Some idea is conveyed, too, of the magnificence of the gorges' scenery. There's a bit of a tilt in it I think, when perhaps it should be the back of the boat that is leaning a bit. But hardly important. The monochrome area does not look strange here as it seems to have been a grey day, and really emphasises the colours.

Hi Wilson,

I know neither one, nor the other, but this landscape makes me also think of the fjords of Norway !!! A judicious use of the desaturration here, I like much the constraste between the bleu jacket of the lady and the flag Chinese. The depth of the image is appreciable. The POV gives the impression to be on board of the boat, maybe next to this woman ;) The red flag with its yellow stars is quite an eye catcher and reminds us, we are in China! The partial desaturation works well for this image...

Very good use of partial de-saturation, leaving us with the three primary colours. Both the flag and the lady see to be pointing the direction of our gaze to the following boat. Well done

Hi Wilson,

The presence of the small boat has an effect of scale. The curve of the river is an asset to the composition. The point of view leads our eyes rtoward the gorge in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The use of the black and white in the background and strong colors in the foreground has a special effect on the picture. Have a nice day.

Creative composition and the red flag stands out of course, nicely balanced by the person looking up the river...
The desaturation is effective but probably not necessary..?
