Disappearing cities of the Yangtze, p2
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
When you walk around in the "old" Fengdu, it seems like walking in a warzone: abandoned and torn-down buildings, rubble everywhere etc. It's also surreal because the city is large but it's so quiet (except at places where they are in the process of demolishing the buildings).

hi tai
there seems to be a hazy film over the photograph. maybe you can correct it on photoshop or something.
i like this shot for the history that youve caught and also the composition.
although maybe you should have made it a pure black and white shot , maybe with some darkttones and high contrast.
sepia always reminds me of nostalgic shots, on the other hand to me b&w gives a more depressing and harsher mood to a shot.
so going by that i'd have used b&w . but thats just my view.
i still like it
good work
:)
There is an open quality of this photo that emphasizes your comment about the surreal nature of the place, especially the quiet.
Bad situation in nice shot with good note!
Thank for sharing,Tai!
