Photographer’s Note
The modern face, of fast changing China. Chongqing is a city of 10 million, with its' own province, which has a total of 30 million people. The foggy haze, is typical of this city, in winter.
To the west is Chengdu, & to the east, are Wuhan & Shanghai. Taken from a pedestrian overpass.

Very good contrast between the sharp colours at the right and the permanent mist of Chongqin. I was there three weeks ago and realize how difficult is to get good photos with its particular wheather.
Congratulations.

Hi Chris,
Nice daily life shot with some good colours and POV. I like the contrast between the sharp shopping mall and the fading skyscrapers. Nice one.

Hello Chris,
Great architectural shot, you show the new face of China very well. I am not sure I am a fan though of this trend, as it seems that everywhere in china is becoming plastic and without any charm whatsoever.
A+

An interesting scene from China, Chris, I guess it is an eloquent illustration of globalization and of the rapidly changing developments that are currently going on over there. Excellent details all over the frame.

Hello Chris,
Belle prise de vue urbaine.
ON dirait réellement une image futuriste!
ON se croirait perdu dans le temps....
Superbes couleurs aussi!
Belle image
Beau travail

Guten Tag Chris,
the haze gives this foto a special touch, on the right powerful colors, opposite pale ones.
Great to see and read about a city I never heard of...

A modern scene of city in China. A wonderful angle shot. I study too much from you. Thanks

This shot is very evocative of modern day China - the crowds of tall buildigs mirroring the crowds of people on the street, and over everything is that foggy haze that we seem to see in every urban scene in China now. The sidewald and street draw the viewer into the scene, and the colour and detail are top notch. Great work!

Hi Chris,
Incredible that a city most of us have not heard of has 10 million people...I like the DOF in the shot. The warm colours of the plaza combined with the human element very much enhance. The solid darker colours of the plaza building balance the foggier elements and there is much dynamism from the street traffic. A very pleasing, well conceived and executed shot.

Hi Chris. Interesting shot. I like the way the right of the photo is clear and warm then it fazes out to cold. It looks cold everyones wrapped up. Like i said interesting. Sue

I have to agree that China is expanding ! You have a very nice view along through this street too. Is that fog or pollution in the air there.

Hi Chris. Such a great shot with modern architecture and people going every which way. I don't know if that's pollution in the distance but it has a positive effect. Very nice one Chris!

Hi Chris, There are many reasons I should have visited this city, Chongqing. For many reasons, I have never set my foot on this beautiful city even once. Thanks for providing the shot to show us the foggy city and its daily life on the street like this one. A very well taken picture with nice clarity and contrast.

Hi Chris.
Good work: fine composition and also an interesting use of the light (with fog mustn't be so easy). Some kind of postprocessing?
Regards.
