Photographer’s Note
Along the Wei River near GuZhen, above the dam the river is still. Like a pond. Here rests a river house with family out front waiting for the rains to come. GuZhen is a very small Chinese town in eastern China about 170K north-west of Nanjing. It is an isolated town, where few westerners trek.
With some make-shift work this river house becomes home to this family. All that they may need is here. River fish is available. Electical power enters the house from the upper left (hard to see). Young girl moves her bike away from the pending rain.

Hello David,
This is a fine documentary with a good note in the best of TE spirit!
I like the atmosphere that is captured due to the haze in the air, maybe there is a coal powerplant nearby (I notice the high voltage line reflected)...
Well framed, good details!
Greetings,
Pablo -
