Photographer’s Note
This is an image looking at one of the entrances to Angkor Wat and along the inside wall. The outer limits of the Wat are set by a broad moat, a rectangle of 1.5km E-W and 1.3km N-S. Angkor's walls line up along the moat. The temple itself stands in the middle. The wall is made of Laterite and is 1025m by 802m. Angkor was built in the first half of the 12th century. This was both the capital and the location for the State Declared Temple - dedicated primarily to Vishnu and Hindu god.

Hello David,
very beautiful view; very well composed photo! As a painter (although amateurish) I appreciate the natural colours.
I like the trees leaning over the ancient wall; and the wall itself, touched by greenery, looks amazing. And I am impressed by the depth created in the photo.
It is a landscape which is well worth being painted, not only photographed! I must say that, whether we like it or not, the sun helps us a lot in photography ;)
best regards,
Elena
