I need a drink, a photo from Phnum Penh, West

Photographer's Note

An elephant trying to get into a bar in Phnom Penh, probably after reading too many books about Babar, the French elephant.
Under the elephant's belly are some kids trying to earn their living (or someone else's) by selling pirate editions of Lonely Planet guide books.
Obviously there is somewhere a picture of this from the reverse angle. If the gentleman to the left in the yellow shirt is registered with TE, please post your picture.

Really a funny photo but also a very good one, with the red details in the lower part of the picture forming a line to sort of frame the elephant.

A not common photo without doubt. The terrace is fast filled. A decisive moment indeed to photograph and I see that you are not the only one to immortalize this scene. Attractive look, interesting.

Very funny photo. I much wondered what happened afterwards. Did he get a drink ? or a fruit cocktail ? Did he go quietly away seeing he could not go in.
Are elephants usually wandering about quiety like this on the streets ?

Hi Gert,
After my trip to India, I was naturally attracted by this photo of an elephant ! I felt I didn't see enough of them : Only two :-( So I was pleased to see this one in your random photos !
I wonder what happened there with this elephant trying to get into the bar ! No one seems to panic anyway !
It's interesting to see the kids'activities under the arch made by the elephant's body.
Another eye-catcher is the other photographer ! I do wonder if he posted his photo on TE :-))
