Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken at the sunset spot, looking out across the landscape to the famous architectural wonder of Angkor Wat. Unfortunately, the sunset was not the golden spectacle we'd all hoped for and the sun sank below the horizon surrounded by clouds without anyone really being able to tell if sunset had gone or not!
As a result of the poor conditions I decided to use the opportunity to photograph some of the other people standing atop the hill with me. Most were recognisable as camera-toting tourists. I'm not sure if this man was a soldier, a guide or even a tourist himself but he was waiting for the orange sky to appear with the setting sun just like everybody else.
Regards,
Rich

Richard,
Even though theres a small amount of digital noise in this guys face, I think its a great expression nonetheless. Nice portrait work.
Cheers,

Hi Richard,
Beautiful portrait, good control of DOF, good choice of placing the subject off center to the right. I have been to Angkor recently. What a great place!
