Angkor Wat at Dusk, a photo from Siem Reab, West

Photographer's Note

After wandering in Angkor Wat for the afternoon, I went to the Eastern wall to see the sunset. I was there practically by myself!

That was a change from the previous day when I went to Phnom Bakheng for the sunset. Phnom Bakheng is infested with a thousand tourist every day for the sunset and it accounts for a much less peaceful experience.

If you go to Angkor Wat, I highly recommend you try as much as you can to avoid the crowds. Your experience there will be much more enjoyable!

Hi Mathieu, you've produced a very interesting silhouette with this sunset behind the wall. The tree branch overhead provides a very nice natural frame, along with your produced one. Your composition is very simple but very effective. The colour is great.

This is a refreshing photo from all the others we see. Good silhouette shot. Good colours. The tree framing the temple is a nice touch.

Hope to visit this place soon and spend a few days there.

Hi Mathieu, Although, the bottom area is a little dark, the overall shot is really good, the silhouettes are excellent & that sky is superba beauitful colour, also you have captured the tree wonderfully well, great detail, kind regards Wilson.
