Photographer’s Note
This smiling old pal is the chief honcho at Kampong Som monastery. Thanks to him for letting me shoot a few rolls in his landyard.

A nice photo, cptures the feel of a Cambodian monastery very well. I like the view of the interior through that open door, and the relaxed pose of the old abbott. Nevertherless it could be sharper, and the pic could be slightly straightened (not really essential).

I agree that this photo might benefit from around 0.5 degree anticlockwise rotation, and a little sharpening, but it's very nice all the same. There's lots to look at, in addition to the Monk. The contents of the room, the poster, and I think for some reason I like the duo-colour clock.
Well done!

I agree with Philip about slight rotation and sharpening. That being said, the overall composition is excellent. I see many repeating patterns here making this quite a dynamic shot. (benches, open doorways, cinder-block windows, orange robes)

funny enough this place reminds me of my granma's place when I was little. the pattern on the floor, the carved opening on the top, balcony, simple furniture, and above all, a peaceful atmosphere. can almost hear some background birds or ppl talking while emjoying the sun.
I love this atmospheric shot. (is that a cigarette in his hand?)
I dont mind rotation that much. but I would have cropped the right part of the photo just where the green line goes through the poster. to make it more clean.

beautiful picture. I love the monk's expression, and his position on the left of the photo. The orange of his robe makes the shot with the cloth on the door as a reminder.
